IMPORTANCE OF MENTAL WELLBEING
I begin to write my blog on importance of mental wellbeing.writing this blog is just to give knowledge about mental wellbeing because as all we know nowadays depression is among the youth is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.According to WHO(world health organization),depression is the main cause of disability that affects people of all ages, including teenagers,youth and adults.depression can have a significant impact on a young person’s life ,affecting their relationships,school performances and overall wellbeing.in this blog we will discuss the importance of seeking help and provide resources for those who may be struggling with depression and other mental issues.
WHAT IS MENTAL WELLBEING?
Mental wellbeing is a state of being emotionally and psychologically healthy.it involves the ability to manage one’s emotions thoughts,behaviors in a positive way,even in the face of stress,adversity and other challenges.Good mental wellbeing is characterized by feelings of happiness,contentment,and inner peace,as well as a sense of purpose and meaning in life.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE MENTALLY STABLE?
It is very necessary to be mentally stable because it allows you to manage your emotions and thoughts in a healthy manner which can improve your relationships,work performance and overall lifestyle.good mental health also helps you to avail new opportunities and benefits in your life.it also helps to cope up with stress,anxiety,facing challenges and achieve your goals.by taking care of your mental health you can improve your overall wellbeing and lead a happier and more fulfilling life.
THINGS THAT DESTROY OUR MENTAL PEACE;
There are alot of things that destroy and disturb our mental peace,including;
Chronic stress and anxiety
Trauma and abuse
Bad sleeping habits
Overthinking all the time
Using a lot of mobile phones
Social isolation and loneliness
Negative self talk or beliefs
Perfectionism or unrealistic expectations
Financial problems or job stress
Relationship and conflicts
Uncomfortable surroundings
Environmental pollution
And so on,
WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR MENTAL WELL-BEING;
There are several ways to take care of our mental well-being i’m going to talk about 5 basic ways to improve your mental health and these are;
POSITIVE ATTITUDE:
It is essential to maintain positive attitude in our life it helps us to deal with difficult situations and overcome challenges.
STAY ACTIVE:
activeness is as good for the brain as it is for the body. Regular exercise or Staying activity can have a major impact on your mental and emotional health, relieve stress, improve memory, and help you sleep better.
DON’T SKIMP ON SLEEP:
It matters more than many people think. Sleep is our body and mind's best way to recharge and rejuvenate. One way to get sleep better is to take a break from the stimulation of screens — TV, phones, tablets or computers — in the hours before bedtime. Consider reading or listening to relaxing music instead.
FIND PURPOSE AND MEANING:
This is different for everyone, but finding purpose in your day is a big factor to good mental health. You might try one of the following:
Engage in work and play that makes you feel useful
Invest in relationships and spend quality time with people who matter to you
Volunteer, which can help enrich your life and make you happier
Find ways to care for others, which can be as rewarding and meaningful as it is challenging
Think of one good deed or gesture to do each day.
GRATITUDE PRACTICING ;
It means being thankful for the good things in your life. It's helpful to do this every day, either by thinking about what you are grateful for or writing it down in a journal. These can be big things, such as the support you have from loved ones, or little things, such as enjoying a nice meal.Practicing gratitude can help you to see your life differently.
CONCLUSION;
In conclusion, mental well-being is a critical aspect of our lives and it is essential to take care of it just like our physical health.Things that are causing stress or distress in your life take steps to address them.this may involve seeking support from mental health professional,making lifestyle changes or finding help to manage stress and anxiety.Remember, good mental health is essential for happy and healthy life.
